Create a new data source which contains the laws broken down by country / state / province which outline the rules for exporting / importing encryption and which include the rules for data locality. For example, some countries require companies who conduct business of a certain $$ amount in their country to locate that sensitive data in their country physically and not in another country. There are likely other examples. ...more »

We need to have all of the IT leaders in the country trained and cognizant of the information security challenges that face our businesses, our intellectual property and our infrastucture. As technology continues to evolve over the coming months and years, portions of the IT infrastructure are falling behind. Let's create a strategic training program and bundle a toolset to make infosec an issue that gets the attention ...more »
We currently manually download the Foreign Per Diem rates posted in excel on this website each month: http://aoprals.state.gov/content.asp?content_id=233&menu_id=89
We import this data into our local travel expense database so we have to keep it up-to-date. If this data was posted in XML format, we believe we can automate the download/upload process that we're doing manually.
It would be helpful to see the date that an idea or comment is posted here.

Building a UI of the government from the top down, which is multimedia (Adobe Flash) so the public can visually see how all the agencies connect and who they report too? From the top down so users can view the highest of government, down to the city they live in. All data could be connected to the agency it pertains to, and its representatives, with picture and years in office.
Example: A Family Tree
I have spent 20+ years executing enterprise applications, systems and acrhitectures with leaders like IBM, SAP, and Informatica. One constant in all projects I have led is the need for effective change management and program governance. I would like to see a coordinated change management initiative with change champions in all impacted agencies governed by a central program management office for messaging, quality, ...more »
Denturist data is not available through federal agencies. The American Dental Association Policy Handbook clearly outlines the act to suppress the denturist profession and intimidate dental suppliers of dental material to denturists. The American Dental Association and American Medical Association spend big dollars suppressing competition by lobbying against legislation to regulate Alternative Healthcare Professions. ...more »
It would be very useful to allow data searching by extent for geodata sets. For example, I am only interested in data that are available nationally. Imagine some people would be interested in searching by state or even county.
